It is vital that you are cleansing the lash and eye area with a cleanser that is specifically formulated to be safe for lash extensions because using oil and silicone based soaps will create a waxy film around the follicle and skin which will act as a barrier. This prevents the lash extensions from properly bonding to the natural lash, leading to poor retention of the extensions.
Furthermore, “gentle cleansers” like baby soap are not equipped / strong enough to efficiently cleanse / decrease and protect the adult natural lashes.
